| Immortality? Posted: 29 Oct 2010 11:22 AM PDT How do you leave a legacy in this life? You could become president and implement some radical changes to help the masses. You could set some sports or endurance record. You could discover the cure for Cancer or determine a alternative source of energy. Or you could have a bike featured in Don “Thunder” Baggett’s “Kickin Asphalt” cartoon in the December 2010 issue of BIKER magazine (page 53). Featured is the “Errant 2″ bike Guilty Customs built for Ash Spurlin two years ago. (it’s been covered in this blog at various stages). This bike has really had it’s share of articles and features (both in American, on-line and abroad). Ok, it’s not on the level of curing cancer etc, but we’re stoked either way. We take our “happy news” wherever we can find it.. | Swag for a Cause. Anglemans Syndrome Posted: 29 Oct 2010 10:28 AM PDT Part of the journey many families are on each day is raising a child that has special needs. Our special child has Angleman Syndrome. Angelman syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes developmental disabilities and neurological problems, such as difficulty speaking, balancing and walking and, in some cases, seizures. Frequent smiles and outbursts of laughter are common for people with Angelman syndrome, and many have happy, excitable personalities. It’s most often caused by problems with a gene located on chromosome 15 called the ubiquitin-protein ligase E3A (UBE3A) gene. Since we deal with this on a daily basis, one organization that has been an invaluable resource is The Anglemans Syndrome Foundation. As a way to show our support for this organization Guilty Customs has teamed up with Karma Inc Apparel, to raise funds for the research efforts the foundation is undertaking. Karma Inc Apparel’s mission is to give 10% of each purchase back to non-profit organizations that change the life’s of people. So, for the next two months, custom designed mens and women’s clothing made exclusively for Guilty Customs will be sold and all proceeds will go directly to the AnglemansSyndrome Foundation. The designs are exclusive to Guilty Customs and have a specific message of Love, Charity, Giving with more in the works. So, we’re asking our followers to 1) check out the cool swag and purchase something, 2) post or repost this on your blog, twitter account, Facebook, etc and 3) Tell others about our efforts to sell 1500 of these shirts. So not only do you get some cool and unique swag, your able to help some worth kids lead a better quality life. To check out the shirts or to purchase, go HERE. Thanks!
