Santa’s New Sled Designs

Posted: 21 Dec 2010 09:38 AM PST

We at Guilty have always ventured towards the more “conservative” approach to designs (aka “less is more”)  and while we do have an eye for “newer and cooler” elements for our bikes, we just have to wonder since it’s Christmas time, if Old Saint Nick has the same mindset….stay with the “tried and true” or venture into the “new design” elements?  Here is what we’ve found out in cyber space when some auto designers get a free hand in “repackaging” ole St. Nick.  Enjoy and Merry Christmas! Cathy’s Help Foundation Auction Item

If your familiar with our “family” of builders at the Limpnickie Lot, your more than aware of Jeremy Johnson from Muttin Cycles.  He’s a guy we call a friend and he’s a proud and enthusiastic family guy. He’s one of the most enthusiastic and caring guys you’ll have the good fortune of meeting. You can tell the minute you talk with him that his passions are his wife and family and last year Jeremy started a foundation called The Cathy's Help Foundation which sole purpose is to raise money to benefit women suffering from breast cancer that need assistance with house bills, food, home repairs or don’t have insurance.  His goal: to raise $50,000 through auctions, bike builds, and raffles where 100% of the donations get into the right hands verses those big Breast Cancer organizations that pay the staff members before the actual women in need. One of his recent auctions items is this kickin pink helmet which is on ebay right now.  Check out the helmet, HERE, make a bid and not only own a cool piece of swag, but help a great guy help some people that need helping!  Keep up the great work Jeremy!

Lightin The Way-Cycle Style

Here is a cool twist on some old parts.  Take some motorcycle parts and making them into a table lamp. And there’s no telling what adventures these lamps may have had in their prior life. Retired components from different types of vintage motorcycles make up these sturdy creations. The one pictured shows a Yamaha spring, shock absorber and brake rotor and a Kawasaki transmission gear— all welded together to add a bit of quirky moto flair to any room. The lamp stands approximately 18 inches tall with a base that’s about 11 inches across. It’s built to last and weighs a lot. So, don’t drop it on your foot! Each lamp is handmade from available parts so yours will differ slightly from the photo due to the nature of recycled parts.  FYI, the shade is NOT included.  And if you have some custom requests, just ask as a custom lamp can be made out of parts from the bike(s) of your choice. The builder John Ryland also has a cool blog named (classified moto) that features some unique bikes he’s building/built in his garage.  Check him out HERE.  To check out the lamps further, click HERE.
