Vertical Spun Aluminum Oil Bag

Posted: 21 Nov 2010 01:16 PM PST

Some like it vertical, others horizontal.  Either way, tanks have to work.  Which is apparent with the oil tanks from the guys at 7 Metal West.  The tank is made from two .125″ thick aluminum halves and measures 9″ tall and is 5.375″ round (including ribs).  The tank is fully TIG welded and pressure tested to 20 psi.  Each tank comes in a standard brushed finish.  There are 2 options for the filler neck and  a choice of push-in style or screw cap which gives you choices too. All of the oil tanks are spun for maximum durability.  Price is $405.00 and every tank is made to order. You can check the work of 7 Metal west here.

BackStreet Havoc Magazine Choked Us Up

Posted: 20 Nov 2010 05:52 PM PST

We first came across Backstreet Havoc when they “liked” us on Facebook.  Granted with over 5000 friends, we didn’t really pay attention to another magazines requesting to be friends, however we went ahead and approved the link. Not until recently did we go back and study the information about this publication that we got all choaked up, misty-eyed and sentimental. They like stuff we like! WOW!

Backstreet Havoc is a new full color magazine dedicated to the Retro Bobber and Old School Chopper Motorcycle Enthusiast and covers the spectrum of Retro Bikes, Hot Rods, Pin Ups, Rallies, Rockabilly Events, Music, Tattoos, Art.  From what we can tell the mag gives a complete lifestyle and culture mix in the motorcycle world with a local Garage Style twist.  Not bad for a new magazine. This quarterly magazine has a winter, spring, summer, and fall issue and sells for $5.99 on the news stands. You can download a .pdf file of their first issue before it hits the stands too.  So take a look.  You may even shed a tear. Check them out HERE.
